Sitting very shrewdly somewhere between our learned and innate behaviours are one of our most important and primeval drivers, called gut feel. After a certain point, even continuing to read this text right now will be coming from your gut feel.
Gut feel has a brother – called Hunch, and they both have a sister, called Intuition. Hunch and Gut feel are more like brothers, coz boys have those, and Intuition is what girls have. It might sound sexist, but it’s quite true, and it ties to the way our respective minds are wired from birth. And yes, there are plenty of opportunities for crossed wires, but here we will use the distinction to simply reflect the most current biological and scientific observation and understanding.

Well, the thing is, despite them resulting from possibly a high level of non-conscious effort, these feelings or vibes or mental instincts are still all our own. Even though we have a strong captain of our subconscious, our conscious thoughts are our commander and chief.
